“Country Faith 56 Reflections from Today’s Leading Country Music Stars” Compiled by Deborah Evans Price

Book Cover Country Faith

This book is fun to read.  Two pages each are devoted to each country star, which includes the artist’s picture, their favorite Bible verse and why they picked it.  This volume gives the reader an insight to each star, and gives a bit of an idea of how the star’s “tick.”

These are mini snapshots of real people, so because of that, there were a couple of less than inspiring entries. But for the most part, all have something very inspirational to say.  Included at the end, is the entire book of Mark printed in a very readable version.

I always enjoy learning about people, and think a lot can be gleaned when a person shares a personally important Biblical passage.  That is what this book provided, so it was a delight to read.  Lots of the artist’s thoughts were really heart tugging, and faith-building.  It would be hard for me to pick out just one or two favorites, because I liked so many.  Country stars young, old, and in-between, were featured in this project.  Also included were people new to country music, as well as, long-time favorites.

This is a hardback volume and slightly over-sized, just right for a coffee table.  It is a five-star book that would appeal to Christians, and country-music fans alike, and I recommend it.
