Brett Somers is handsome, rich and self-assured, and despite never meeting him, Dani is sure he is also cocky and selfish.  She plans to put him in his place, publically.   Following him, and secretly taking pictures of him might be considered stalking, but Dani believes she is justified in doing it.   However, when she begins to put her plan into action, everything starts falling apart.

Somehow, in the midst of her revenge campaign, Brett camera-free-usestarts talking with her.  Meeting him, let alone having a conversation with him, was never part of her plan.  Before she knows it, Dani is swept away by him, and finds they have many things in common.  To make it worse, Dani discovers Brett and her are forming a relationship.  At the very least, they have become friends, but possibly even more than friendship is growing between them.

Dani finds herself in quit a predicament.  Although she had been determined to dislike Brett, she finds herself caring for him, a lot.  Also, because of him, she has a good job and a safe place to live.  If the truth comes out about her original plans to discredit him, or if her mother’s name is discovered, Dani is sure all the good things in her life will tumble down like a house of cards.  Can Dani keep her secrets from Brett?  If Brett discovers the truth, can he forgive her?  Will Brett show her mercy since, in the past, he kept lots of secrets house-of-cards-free-usehimself?

This story-line captured my attention from the beginning.  When Love Arrives is the second installment of the Misty Willow series.  With some reservations, this book can be enjoyed without reading the first one.  That is because there are a few story-lines from book one that are never quite explained in this one, leaving the reader frustrated.  I did not care for how many things brought out “the green eyed monster” in Dani.  It made me wonder how she could possibly be a likable person with so many jealousy issues.  Also note the plot includes an out-of-wedlock child, and a past promiscuous lifestyle.  Details about it are not given, and the behavior is treated as something that brought pain and difficult consequences.   This 4-star book is recommended to those who like modern-day romances written from a Christian point-of-view.
