   Dear “Pooke”
   I read your review of Carole P. Roman’s If You Were Me and Lived in France, and see that you value children’s education of the world’s diverse cultures. Kindly read my request. I am currently working on a book to introduce children to French and France.
   I have written and illustrated ¡HOLA! Let’s Learn Spanish.
   The purpose of the book is to give children ages roughly 6-10, along with their parents, an enjoyable and early start in learning Spanish.
   Parents can use the book, whether or not they know Spanish. They can go to the audio page at the website indicated in the book, http://www.polyglotkidz.com and follow along to hear the correct pronunciation of the Spanish, and they can download the recording.
   May I send you a copy for review?
   Children love a story. The book begins with an imaginary plane ride to Mexico, where kids learn some Spanish. Once they land, they meet Panchito, Mexico’s favorite Jumping Bean, and follow his adventures, while being drawn into the local culture, being entertained, and learning Spanish.
   Activities follow for children to practice Spanish with friends and family, including: a treasure hunt, daily expressions, a skit, Culture Corner, song and craft.
   The book is available in print and Kindle on Amazon at the link below. It is also on the B&N website.
   I am a retired French and Spanish teacher. I am a member of the Public Advocacy Committee of the New York State Association of Foreign Language Teachers, National Network for Early Language Learning, among other language organizations. I am a member of SCWBI and IBPA.
