“50 Things You Need to Know About Heaven” by Dr John Hart

Book Cover 50 Things You Need to Know About Heaven

Heavenly FAQ’s

This is a book that attempts to answer questions about Heaven. Fifty topics are covered that range from whether or not there will be animals in Heaven, to what we will be doing in Heaven, to the question of near death experiences.

Each query is explored by the author giving his perspective supported by scriptural references. The author also gives interesting examples of the subject from his own life, or from the world. For instance, he addresses how angels are viewed in the popular Christmas movie, It’s a Wonderful Life, and the Biblical viewpoint–and if there is a difference. At the end of each section, more Bible references are given if the reader wants to do further research on the topic.

This book is easy to read, and it is written in an uncomplicated style. The reader can pick out a subject of interest, and find it effortlessly, making it unnecessary to read the entire book to get an answer.

The author is a Bible professor at Moody Bible Institute, and received advanced degrees from Dallas Theological Seminary and Grace Theological Seminary.

The references provided for each question, make it easy to check out if the Bible really agrees with what Dr. Hart writes on a given subject. You may or may not concur with the author’s take on a topic, but his thoughts will provide a jumping off place for further investigation. If you have some questions about Heaven, I would suggest you start with the Bible first. This 5-star book, would be a good additional reference.
