This is a collection of four former stand-alone books, which the author refers to as parables.  Ms. Higgs’ overwhelming joy of becoming a Christian, along with the newness she found in Christ, was the inspiration for, The Pumpkin Patch Parable.

Spring Words Free UseThe Parable of the Lily, The Sunflower Parable, and The Pine Tree Parable are the other titles that followed, and make up this treasury.  Each one takes place in a different season:  winter, spring, summer and fall.  All of these tales were first read to the author’s children, and just like Biblical parables, there is a moral, or virtue in each one.

Beautiful colors and illustrations are on every page of this large, hard backed book that Sun with Sunglasses Free Usealso has a padded cover.  Scripture dots the bottom of many of the pages, and  each verse was chosen with care after much prayer.  These stories explore things such as hurting other’s feelings and helping those in need, done in way a child can understand.

This lovely book was a real treat to read, and look at. I liked that each story represented a different season.  These stories will really catch a child’s interest, and the bright colors will appeal to them, too.  When I was looking at this book, a family member said, “this is a happy book, you just feel happy when you look at these pages.”  That is very true–the colors, pictures, and stories–all bring a smile to your face, and will warm Leaves Autumn Cartoon Free Useyour heart.  There is nothing wrong with a story that is told for pleasure only, but the fact that each of these parables have point to make, is an added bonus.  Get this 5-star book, you will not be disappointed.  I recommend it.
