I Found My Heart in San Francisco
One day Tia is making ravioli in her family’s restaurant in the Pacific Northwest, the next, she is in San Francisco as the chef for dinner cruises on a small yacht owned by her aunt and uncle. Shortly after arriving, Julie finds some of her duties will also include renovating the yacht. This work also causes Tia to work closely with Leo, the captain of the yacht.
Leo and Tia have a history together. Ten years earlier, when Tia was sixteen, the two of them attended a camp together. That is when Leo gave Tia her very first kiss. Tia doesn’t know if Leo remembers, but Tia has never forgotten it.
Leo has grown up to be a great guy, but he is also recently engaged. His fiancée is Leo’s total opposite, and many wonder how the two will handle that. Tia finds herself uncomfortably possessing knowledge that could ruin the couple’s relationship. The situation is even more complicated by the fact that Tia finds herself developing feelings for Leo. However, Tia’s sense of right and wrong won’t allow herself to get involved with someone who is engaged.
This is a light, fun story that would be perfect for a summer read. The story drew me in, and I really enjoyed the descriptions of all the dishes that Tia makes. It made me wish a dinner cruise with a chef like her really existed. I also appreciated that Tia had a strong sense of ethics, and the story was told from a Christian standpoint. I recommend this 5-star book to anyone who enjoys sweet romances.
