This recipe appeared in my review book, The Christmas Edition: A Journey to Paradise by Robin Shope. Enjoy this drink any time of the year, but it is especially good now in the winter!
2 cups whole milk
4 tsp sugar
1 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
1 oz unsweetened chocolate, chopped
1 tsp brown sugar
A splash of vanilla
Real whipped cream
Heat everything in a saucepan, except the vanilla, until the chocolate melts and the sugar dissolves. Pour half into a blender and mix until foamy. Return to the saucepan and add vanilla. Stir briefly and then serve with three inches of whipped cream.
