X Marks the Spot

Join Dakota Crumb, Treasure Hunter, who is on a mission to find The Purple Jewel of Egypt which she wants to put in her Mousehole Museum.  She has a treasure map where X marks the spot of this wonderful jewel.

However, the map leads her to the big museum, a treacherous way to go.  She must quietly go through it to avoid the many dangers there that could keep her from her quest.  As she makes her way through it, she spies some other objects that will be perfect for her museum.  Can she be quick enough to grab them without being caught?

This fun picture book has just enough suspense to give little ones a tiny, ticklish shiver—and to cause them to ask to read this again and again.  Kids will laugh when they discover what The Purple Jewel of Egypt really is.  Dakota Crumb will keep them holding their breathe as she faces one close-call after another.

In the back of the volume, there is a list of items for upcoming treasure hunters to try their hand at finding. This over-sized, hard-backed book will become a favorite with children pre-school through third grade.  I recommend this 5-star picture book to all children who enjoy fun and excitement.
